Sand and Gravel Pit

Champlain Construction owns and operates its own Sand and Gravel pit on Rt116 in Middlebury. The pit produces a full range of materials including riprap, dimensional stone, all sizes from 6-8” down to 3/4” crushed stone. The facility also produces a full range of crushed and screened gravel products. The pit is also the source of many municipal road products and specialty sands including septic mound sand, mortar sand, filter media sand, ¼” sand and winter sand. Our sand has also been tested and approved as USGA golf course sand.

Champlain Construction owns a Pegson portable jaw crusher, Nordberg 4 ¼ Cone and 4 Portable Powerscreen screening plants. We do offer onsite custom crushing. The facility also has a wash plant for washed stone products.
