Champlain Construction was established in 1955 by Raymond "Buck" Danyow and his wife Lucy. With Buck and Lucy putting their resources together, they founded CCC. In 1963 they moved from their garage at Birchard Park to their present location. In 1975 they became incorporated as Champlain Construction Company, INC. with their three sons, Larry, John & Jim.
In 52 year Champlain Construction has grown to be the largest excavating company in Addison County. Champlain employs between 30 and 40 employees each year. The Champlain offices are located at 1050 Rte 7 South in Middlebury. They offer complete site preparation from A to Z, including turf restoration. They install commerical water lines, sewer and storm systems, and complete site work as well as residental sewer systems. Champlain has its own gravel pit on Rte 116 in East Middlebury, which produces many products for retail sale, for municipal use and for for its own use for a high standard of quality work.
They are also a distributer of dowflake, calcium chloride and magnesium chloride. Champlain workers are sent on the job highly trained and experienced in each phase of work. All of the work is done with precision, effiency and at the lowest possible cost. "Buck"Danyow, now 81, is an active member of the company and still runs a loader at the gravel pit everyday.
There is no job to large or too small that the people at CCC, Inc. would not quote. If we can help you with your excavation needs, wheter it be digging with an excavator, pushing dirt with a bulldozer, or trucking gravel to your site, please give us a call. All of us at CCC, Inc. care how your work is completed, with good quality industry standards.
