US Forest Service: Aquatic Fish Baffle
Funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in Summer 2010, CCCI
installed an arch culvert in Chittenden Brook in Green Mountain National
Forest. This created an aquatic fish baffle to create an area where the fish
can swim upstream to spawn.
Addison County Supervisory Union:
Middlebury Union High School Re-paving
CCC reconstructed the entrance and circle at Middlebury Union High School,
including the sidewalk, drainage, curbing and pavement in the summer of
2010. Updates included the installation of heated sidewalks to prevent ice
buildup.
Addison County Supervisory Union:
Middlebury Union Middle School Walkway
’x 650’ gravel walkway on school grounds. In the summer of 2010 CCC was
contracted to update the walkway with smooth hot top.
Middlebury Volunteer Ambulance Association:
New Crew Station
Champlain Construction played a major part in getting the MVAA into their
brand new, multi-million dollar facility. CCC was responsible for all the
groundwork and site work, including water, sewer, pump station oil
separator, drainage, parking lot, storm water retention pond and the new
helicopter pad. The building is almost complete at present time and will
have sleeping quarters and all the amenities for a full ambulance crew to
remain there at all times.
US Department of Agriculture: Wetlands
Restoration Project
CCC did a Wetlands Restoration Project in Whiting, VT, which involved
blocking off manmade channels (waterways) to restore the wetland to its
original conditions, by installing ditch plugs.
The Elks Charities: Silver Towers
Project
The Elks have a camp in Ripton, VT where kids with special needs are able to
swim and ride and horses and many other fun things which they might not
normally be able to do. CCC installed a much-needed complete new water
disinfection, filtration, and storage system in the fall of 2009. CCC also
rebuilt and paved the parking lot.
Porter Hospital: North Wing Addition
In 2004-2005 CCC was the contractor for all the groundwork on the new North
Wing addition to the Middlebury hospital.
State of Vermont Department of Fish and
Wildlife: Fishing Access Updates
CCC is currently resurfacing all the fishing accesses in the Rutland and
Vergennes district. This involves bringing in new material and grading and
rolling all accesses so the entrances are safe and smooth.
